BRETT WAXER

ABOUT
Coach Waxer is a Physical Education Teacher at Syosset High School. Coach Waxer earned his bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University and played 4 years of NCAA Division I Mens College soccer for the ECU Pirates. Waxer was a finalist for the CAA Freshman of the year and earned 2nd team CAA All-Conference Honors his senior year. After graduating, Waxer spent one season as a Graduate Assistant coach at ECU where he was primarily responsible for working with the teams defensive concepts. Waxer joined the Syosset Braves Family in 2001 and started coaching at the middle school levels. In 2005, Waxer took over the Boys Varsity Soccer Program and has been proud to see his team make it to the post season play each season. Since 2005, the Braves earned 1 Nassau County Championship and reached 3 Nassau County Finals, 6 Semi-Finals and 4 Quarter-Finals.
In 2014, Long Island Soccer Academy was created. Coach Waxer and the rest of the staff at Long Island Soccer Academy are happy to see the success of the camp over the years and now offer 2 weeks over the summer and a 10 weeks clinic throughout the winter.

ABOUT
Coach Pedicini has been an English teacher and assistant varsity soccer coach at Syosset High School since he and Coach Waxer took over the program in 2005. He grew up in East Meadow, playing for the club, thus beginning a lifelong love of the sport. He has coached for the East Meadow High School program, ODP Select, Syosset Soccer Club before moving to Syosset High School. He has been to three World Cups: USA 1994; Germany 2006; South Africa 2010 and he is a Manchester United supporter. He loves football and wants to give back to the game that has given him so much.
